Disciplines
The Brief
Kinday is a family-planning app for moms in Mexico and LATAM. The brief: design the product end to end — name, brand and interface — to help distribute the mental load a mother already carries, without adding to it. No tutorials, no guilt-inducing notifications, no clutter. It had to feel like a calm friend, speak Spanish first, and work for partnered and solo moms alike.
The Solution
A warm, rounded identity anchored in a soft coral-and-blush palette and a reassuring, spoken voice — sin prisa, sin culpa. The day is organized into colour-coded pillars (Hijos, Escuela, Casa, Personal, Citas) so a whole life reads in a single glance. Tasks sync in real time between partners, a solo mode adapts the language for moms carrying it alone, and a mood check-in quietly caps how much the app suggests on heavy days. Less a to-do list, more a breath.
Live prototype
01 — Tasks
A title, a pillar, who's on it — done in thirty seconds. Then just swipe: ← lista, → mañana, or a tap to release what doesn't matter today. Nothing piles up, nothing nags. Suma una, suelta otra.
02 — Your day
Every task lives inside a colour-coded pillar — Hijos, Escuela, Citas, Casa, Tú. No endless lists, no lost categories. Just the shape of the day, and who's on what.
03 — Mood-aware
A gentle daily check-in adapts how much Kinday puts on your plate. Hoy pesado caps the day at three things and quietly postpones the rest — with zero guilt.
04 — Fair split
Invite your partner with a link. Tasks sync live between both phones, and a quiet balance shows who's carrying what — sin pleitos, solo claridad. Solo mom? The whole app speaks about your day instead.
