The Brief
Tim Hortons arrived in Mexico on October 27, 2017, opening its first location at Fashion Drive in Monterrey, Nuevo León. With this launch, the brand had a clear objective: to communicate that Canadian culture was ready to become part of the Mexican everyday experience. With this in mind, the goal was to create a product concept for a cup that represented the meeting point between both cultures in a warm, memorable, and visually engaging way.
The Solution
The result was a visual concept inspired by the idea of "Canada meets Mexico." The cup design brought together iconic elements from both Canadian and Mexican culture, creating an illustration system where symbols, traditions, and references from each country coexist naturally. Through this shared visual language, the design celebrated the arrival of Tim Hortons in Mexico while making the brand feel familiar, welcoming, and culturally connected to its new audience.
